IT IT ANITA
A Belgian noise rock tornado with a formidable live reputation, IT IT ANITA is ushering in a whole new era with Mouche. The quartet becomes a power trio, puts efficiency back at the center of its art, and delivers an album of uninhibitedness. As Michaël Goffard (vocals/guitar) points out, “It's not that we don't give a damn, it's that we go all out!” This fourth album leads to uncharted paths. Those of verse/chorus structures, of light confronted with anger, of Beastie Boys-style phrasing, but also of storytelling. Here, IT IT ANITA sings about the guilt of the day after drunken nights, the yes men who stop at nothing, those wanking crypto-millionaires, or even the fact of still being on their feet and ready to make noise after 10 years of activity.
After John Agnello, Laurent Eyen, and Amaury Sauvé, the Liège natives once again want to pay tribute to an important figure in their circle. Important, but in a completely different way. This new album owes its title to the adorable golden retriever pictured on the cover. Taken in by Elliot Stassen (bass) for two years and now the band's mascot, Mouche is now a service dog. A true long-haired icon, whose story seems to echo the abundance of color present on these nine new tracks. This satisfies IT IT ANITA's desire to make it the most connected album to its audience, breaking its own codes to the very end.
