LUMIÈRE

LUMIÈRE is the solo project of Étienne Côté, the free-spirited embodiment of a musical enlightenment with rock overtones. Both spectacular and sensitive, the Montreal-based artist's work breaks free from trends and brilliantly masters the laws of nostalgia. Released in 2021, LUMIÈRE's debut album, A.M.I.E.S.A.M.O.U.R, is a concept album at the crossroads of rock, folk, and psychedelic pop.

In April 2023, LUMIÈRE unveiled GLAM, his second album under Bonsound. The record was produced alongside Alexandre Martel, a prolific musician and producer with whom he had also worked on his debut. Pushing the musical blends of its predecessor even further, the album introduces a more confident, more exuberant, and more glamorous LUMIÈRE. Nominated for Rock Album of the Year at both the ADISQ and GAMQ awards, GLAM led LUMIÈRE to perform on the biggest stages of his career—including the Plains of Abraham during the Festival d’été de Québec and the closing night of the Francos de Montréal—while also taking him to Belgium and France.
