PERSÉIDE
Perséide began its adventures at the end of the 1910s (those of the 21st century, in fact!). Today, the group moves forward in step, led by Louis-Philippe Cantin, who is accompanied by his companions Olivier Durand, Samuel Milette, Adrien Lauture and Nicolas Poirier. Together, they explore a musical territory that is both instinctive and masterful.
Over time, the band has left several stones behind to pave their way: an EP, two albums, and a few satellite songs. They all encourage you to leave the path and meander through a solar pop-rock inspired by the sixties, the wanderings of acid-folk, the kaleidoscopic German kosmische, and the earthy hues of the nineties.
Since Les couleurs d'été (2023) – nominated at the GAMIQ in the "Rock Album of the Year" category – Perséide has not rested. The quintet now delves into a more personal universe with its sense of discovery as its only compass, mixing the nostalgia of country-folk with the hushed atmospheres of trip-hop.
With Passages secrets (2025), the band pushes its boundaries once again and offers a new album centered on freedom and emancipation. Each track is a portal to a new universe, an opening to a new clearing, sometimes whispered in secret, sometimes ecstatic, but always inviting us to cast off our shackles and bite into the fruit.
